At SAETA UC3M each season we work to design and manufacture drones with which we compete nationally and internationally. But behind each successful flight there is a fundamental engine: the Corporate Relations Department. The CR Associate is essential in building and maintaining relationships with companies to get finantial support, drafting legal documents, and representing the organization at technological events. This role involves active communication with corporate partners, ensuring legal compliance, and engaging in activities that are alligned with our strategic goals. With the beginning of a new season, new and exciting challenges await us. To tackle them, new vacancies are available for structures engineer.The task of a structures engineer in SAETA UC3M is focused on designing, analysing and manufacturing the structures that comprise our UAVs. To do so, the selected people will learn in the process the use of specialized aerospace software for both CAD and FEM to comply with the objective of the mission and ensure that all the structural needs are met.
Above all, we are looking for passionate students who are eager to become a part of the design and manufacturing process of a drone.With regards to the soft skills which will be needed during this project, they are the following:- Being able to work both autonomously and alongside colleagues.- Being proactive and committed to the project.- Wanting to learn new skills and face new challenges.On the technical side, it’s only mandatory to be studying an Engineering Bachelor’s or Master's Degree, but knowledge on these topics is also taken into account, although they are not a requirement:- CAD Design.- FEM Analysis.- Manufacturing techniques and material science.- Structural and aeroelastic behavior of aircraft structures.
SAETA is happy to announce new vacancies for aerodynamics engineer.An Aerodynamics Engineer in SAETA analyzes and optimizes the aerodynamic design of our UAV. The selected candidates will work on aerodynamic calculations with XFLR5, airfoil optimization, CFD simulation, and carbon fiber manufacturing. They will also learn to use professional CFD software and CAD design tools.
It is essential that whoever wants to join our department does so in a passionate way, with a desire to learn and work as a team. In addition, knowledge about the following topics will be taken into account:- CFD analysis- CAD- Stability analysis- Blended Wing Body aircraft design
The Team Building Coordinator will be responsible for organizing social events and gatherings that foster team cohesion and create a positive working environment. This role includes planning team dinners, social outings, and interactive activities to enhance team dynamics. The Coordinator will also develop engaging activities for meetings, ensuring that information is communicated effectively and enjoyably. We are looking for a enthusiastic student with past experience in photography to join our team. The photographer will be responsible for capturing high-quality images that appropriately represent the association, events, and campaigns. They will need to work in collaboration and sync with the public relations team and other departments to ensure that the photographs reflect our values and goals.
Experience with landscape, event or portrait photography is recommended. If you have shot video in the past, this will also be positively considered.-Experience in photography.-Proficiency with cameras.-Knowledge of lighting and composition techniques.Experience with the following software will also be considered:-Adobe Photoshop-Adobe Lightroom-Capture One Pro-Adobe Premier Pro / Final Cut Pro / DaVinci Resolve or any other timeline-based video editing software.
The video editor will be responsible for recording and editing video content that is engaging and relevant to our audiences. They will work with the public relations team to transform recorded material into videos that highlight events, campaigns, and the messages conveyed by our association.
-Experience in video recording and editing.-Proficiency with editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.-Skill in montage and post-production.-Ability to work in a team and meet tight deadlines.-Strong communication skills, proactivity, and creativity.
The Software & Systems department of SAETA is looking for a enthusiastic fullstack developer to join the team.In this role, you will be in charge of, with your teamates, the migration of the current web into the React.js framework. Gain valuable experience, bolster your resume, and enjoy AWS support for tech exploration.Our stack is currently composed of Django | Bootstrap | JS | Postgre | AWS | React.js
-Basic knowledge in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end libraries/frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js).-Basic knowledge in UI/UX principles and best practices.-Some experience with Python, as we are using Django.-Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and modern development workflows.-Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.-Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.-Optional: Knowledge in Cloud Infrastructure, specially with AWS

The Systems department of SAETA is looking for someone who enjoys challenges and wants to take part in the exciting journey of building drones. As an aircraft systems engineer you will learn and contribute in the following fields:- Ground Control Station (GCS) implementation for autonomous missions.- Ensuring a secure and constant radio-based communication layer between the ground and the aircraft.- Working with different flight controllers, sensors and managing their inputs and outputs for real-time flight assessment.- Researching about different flight controller handling and image processing software.Our goal is to have fun, learn a lot and make things happen.
