Tell us about a past project / experience of yours. Focus on the next aspects, but you can (and are encouraged to) talk about other details.
-Did you have a lack of knowledge at the beginning? If so, how did you overcome it?
-Were there any unexpected complications throughout it? How did you react to them?
-Was it a team project or were you working on your own?
Describe the process that you would follow in order to design the internal structure of an UAV with conventional configuration; explaining the differences between the internal structures of the different parts of the UAV (fuselage, wings, etc.), identifying the different elements of the structure (spars, for instance), and defining the criteria that you would follow (saving weight, structural resistance…).
__BONUS QUESTION__
DISCLAIMER: The following question is NOT a requirement, but just an extra to show your past experience with CAD and/or FEM, in case you have any.
Do you have any previous knowledge in CAD design and/or FEM analysis? If so, elaborate on previous projects and experiences. In addition, do the following tasks using the software you’re most familiar with:
- Create the surface of a wing with the following characteristics: --- Semi-span: 500 mm --- Root chord: 100 mm --- Tip chord: 25 mm --- Twist: -5º
- Make the internal structure (spars and ribs) of that wing. If you couldn’t complete Task 1, use the file wing (surface).
- Simulate the behavior of the internal structure under cruise conditions. If you couldn’t complete Task 2, use the file wing (solid).
Make all the necessary assumptions to complete the tasks, but explain the rationale followed. In the case you have never used or don’t have access to the appropriate software, explain what steps you would follow to complete the previous tasks.

Tip: When uploading your files in a .zip folder, we recommend you add the CADs in various formats (stp, stl…) and include screenshots of the simulation’s results.
